Is it actually worth $5.99 a month?

A freelance editor charges $20 or more for one vertical clip. Editing one yourself takes a couple of hours. DCOMP is $5.99 for a whole month of unlimited clips at about 3 minutes each — if you post even once a week, it pays for itself with the first clip.

I'm on my phone right now. Can I still buy it?

Do I need any editing experience?

No. There's no timeline and nothing to keyframe. Drop a clip in, pick a preset, export. If you can install a game, you can use DCOMP.
